Getting Started

Supported Platforms

Installation

1. Install ScriptPilot from the Shopify App Store

2. Open the app in your Shopify admin

3. Click "Add Tracking Code" to install your first script

4. Select your platform and enter your tracking ID

5. Save and the script will be automatically added to your store

Script Placement

Scripts can be placed in:

Head - Before the closing tag (recommended for most analytics)
Body - Before the closing tag (good for some pixels)

Troubleshooting

Script Not Working

Common issues:

Incorrect tracking ID - Double-check your ID from the platform
Script disabled - Make sure the script status is enabled
Cached version - Clear your browser cache
Theme conflicts - Some themes may override scripts

Verification

To verify your script is working:

Use browser developer tools to check Network tab
Use the platform's verification tool
Wait 24-48 hours for data to appear in analytics

GDPR & CCPA Compliance

ScriptPilot is GDPR and CCPA compliant. Scripts are stored in metafields and automatically removed when the app is uninstalled.
